In most cases, the General Liability follow-up and recovery services are provided in conjunction with our Worker’s Compensation services. Our claims specialists come from the insurance industry, and are well-trained to maximize recovered revenue and to provide relevant communication regarding the processed claims. Our recovery record speaks for itself, with over 96 percent of claims placed – and 100 percent adjudication of all general liability claims! Some of the steps in Park Dansan’s recovery process, for general liability claims, include:
- Obtain liability carrier from injured parties.
- Determine if injured parties have med-pay coverage, and obtain that coverage information.
- Contact appropriate carrier to obtain claim number and to inform them that a bill for medical services is in route.
- Obtain an assignment of benefits, UB04 or Form 1500 (and medical records) – mail or fax this information to the carrier.
- File lien, as appropriate, on behalf of client – with involved attorneys.
- Follow-up with carrier or attorneys to verify receipt of medical documentation, assignment of benefits and/or lien (obtain ROI before releasing medical information to attorney).
- Obtain timely filing information, for managed care contracts, and alert client 30 days prior to filing deadline.
- Continue follow-up protocols until final resolution is established.
Unlike most recovery services, Park Dansan actually touches each claim and establishes a process for revenue recovery.
